Background
Dan Levanti is a Sergeant with a county sheriff’s office in the Gulf Coast of Florida, serving since 2013 with experience across Patrol, SWAT, Criminal Investigations, and the Intelligence Unit. He currently serves as a SWAT Team Leader and Sniper Team Lead, while also holding the role of Deputy Involved Shooting Team Sergeant. Dan brings extensive operational and leadership experience backed by advanced tactical training in sniper operations, hostage rescue, night vision operations, firearms instruction, and close-quarters combat.
In addition to his tactical responsibilities, Dan previously worked with the United States Secret Service Tampa Bay Cyber Fraud Task Force, providing him with a broad investigative and intelligence background. He is a certified firearms and general instructor with years of experience training law enforcement personnel in high-threat and performance-driven environments. Dan has also been recognized for both operational excellence and competitive shooting performance, earning SWAT Member of the Year (2023) and multiple top finishes at Florida SWAT Association competitions, including a 1st place individual finish at the 2025 Spring Shootout.
