This structured night vision course is designed for new night vision shooters, focusing on developing safe, efficient, and repeatable performance in low-light and no-light environments. Students will build confidence, control, and accountability under night vision. NV1 prepares students for Steele Industries Night vision events and courses in the future.

Completion of Performance Rifle or an equivalent course is required to attend. This is not a beginner shooting course—it is a beginner night vision course. Students must have safe gun-handling skills and a solid foundation in shooting fundamentals.

Attendee Required Equipment:

  • Helmet-mounted night vision (FREE Rentals available)

  • IR aiming device (Limited rentals available)

  • Quality, serviceable AR-15 style rifle with red dot, white light, and sling

  • Handgun with holster (Red dot recommended)

  • Wrap-around eye protection

  • Electronic hearing protection

  • 500 rounds (rifle)

  • 200 rounds (pistol)

  • Minimum of 3 rifle magazines

  • Minimum of 3 pistol magazines

  • Belt with at least 1 rifle magazine pouch

  • Food and hydration (No food provided)

Course Overview:

  • Safety brief and immediate action procedures

  • Night vision equipment overview and setup

  • Laser zero confirmation and practical application

  • Night vision fundamentals

  • Cold start / warm-up drills

  • Laser offset and application

  • Reloads and weapon manipulation

  • Movement and navigation techniques

  • Barricade and positional shooting

  • Pistol red dot fundamentals
