This course is considered an advanced-level course; students should have a solid understanding of basic rifle handling and operation before attending. Safe and consistent manipulation of the rifle—particularly the safety selector—should be second nature. If these fundamentals are not yet automatic, we recommend spending additional time developing them on the range before attending this course.
Course summary
This two-day Performance Rifle 2 course builds on established rifle fundamentals with advanced weapon handling, movement, positional shooting, barricade work, target transitions, and challenging drills designed to improve speed, accuracy, efficiency, and performance under pressure.
Required Equipment
• Wrap-around eye protection
• Electronic hearing protection
• AR-15 style rifle with red dot optic & sling
• 1,200 rounds of quality ammunition
• Minimum of 3 reliable magazines
• Belt with at least one rifle mag pouch
• Lunch, snacks & hydration
